Jordan Brand went back to 1985 for this one — specifically to a vintage MJ "Dunk" comic-style t-shirt that most people have never seen. The "Comic" AJ4 takes that piece of Jordan history and turns it into one of the most visually expressive Jordan 4s of the year. Off White leather base keeps the upper clean, while a gradient rainbow mesh panel under the side nets shifts from yellow to orange to pink like a panel straight out of a vintage comic book. Fire Pink TPU lace wings with "POW" action bubble detailing replace the standard eyelets, Light Arctic Pink takes over the midsole and heel collar, and a comic-style Nike Air logo on the heel wraps the whole concept together from top to bottom.
This isn't Jordan Brand slapping a superhero colorway on a 4 and calling it a day — the storytelling here goes deeper than that. The design pulls from actual MJ history, comes in special packaging that fits the theme, and lands right around San Diego Comic-Con timing. It's playful, it's detailed, and it's one of those releases that looks better the more you look at it.
